N.Y. Mets vs Philadelphia on 04/12 by Jay_Robinson

Handicapper Analysis 0
It’s easy to be down on the Mets after five years of high expectations and zero playoffs. But they have a new owner in Steve Cohen, a new GM in Billy Eppler, and a new manager in Buck Showalter. The Mets also scooped up Starling Marte, Eduardo Escobar and Mark Canha, and while Jacob deGrom is hurt, Tuesday’s fill-in, Tylor Megill, threw five shutout innings to beat Washington last Thursday.

The Phillies have it worse. They haven’t made the playoffs since 2011, and that drought could continue despite adding Kyle Schwarber and Nick Castellanos to the lineup. Starter Zack Wheeler is recovering from a sore shoulder and might be on a 70-75 pitch count for Tuesday.
